The newest steelhead jig is actually a spinner! The Blade Drifter is a special adaptation of the old Colorado Spinner created to be drifted under a bobber like a jig. Made with genuine Bear Valley blades and American-made swivels and split-rings. Blades Drifters are inspired by the very productive technique used in Canada called, as the name implies, drifting ‘blades’. We developed special steelhead colors to provide a clear advantage over traditional ring-and-swivel spinners. Rig your Blade Drifter under a bobber with a few split-shot spaced out on the leader and simply ‘dead-drift’ it and periodically stall it. It also trolls well behind a 360° flasher.
