KEEN Targhee IV Utility features a KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane that blocks external moisture while allowing internal moisture to escape. It is assembled in the USA using premium materials sourced globally and features a 100% non-metallic construction, making it suitable for passing through metal detectors in high-security environments.The boot is built with KEEN.FUSION construction, which permanently bonds the upper to the sole without using glues or solvents for enhanced durability. A full-grain water-resistant leather upper with a leather thickness of 1.60–1.80 mm is sourced from an LWG-certified tannery, supporting cleaner water practices. Its PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR) treatment effectively sheds water without relying on forever chemicals.For comfort and stability, it includes a KEEN Luftcell midsole infused with approximately 100,000 microscopic air bubbles per cubic centimeter for lasting cushioning, a removable metatomical dual-density insole, and a nylon shank that provides dependable midfoot support. A breathable mesh lining helps keep feet cool in warm working conditions.The oil- and slip-resistant non-marking rubber outsole offers dependable traction and is heat-resistant up to 250°F (121°C), while the rubber outsole material is also rated to withstand temperatures up to 572°F (300°C).
