Description
The Extreme Max Pyramid Anchor is a rugged, one-piece mooring anchor engineered to deliver exceptional holding power in tidal waters, on rocky or sandy bottoms, and in challenging mooring conditions. Unlike concrete blocks that merely rest on the bottom, this anchor “sets” itself by deploying a digging edge to penetrate into the substrate. Its pyramid shape generates increasing suction as it buries deeper, locking itself into place. The short shank design also avoids chain wrap-up, especially in shallow waters, providing stable mooring without the complications of wraparound. Built with a large, reinforced eye, it accommodates robust shackles and chains to meet mooring requirements. Extreme Max pyramid anchors are effective in both fresh and saltwater environments.
Features
- Durable Cast Iron Construction – Built to withstand years of marine exposure in both fresh and saltwater
- Enhanced Suction Stability – As it embeds deeper, holding force increases via suction and surface area engagement
- Oversized Eye Accommodation – Large eye allows use of heavier shackles and mooring chains
- Rapid Self-Setting Design – The pyramid shape presents a digging edge that penetrates and secures in soft or firm bottoms
- Short Shank to Prevent Wrap-Up – Helps avoid chain twisting and wrap in tidal or shallow water settings
