Unlike concrete blocks that merely rest on the bottom, this anchor “sets” itself by deploying a digging edge to penetrate into the substrate. Its pyramid shape generates increasing suction as it buries deeper, locking itself into place. The short shank design also avoids chain wrap-up, especially in shallow waters, providing stable mooring without the complications of wraparound.
