Built for practical marine navigation, the Silva 100BC Compass features a solid mounting bracket that allows for multiple installation options, including mounting on the headlining where visibility and space are important. Its design makes it especially useful for boats with either a sitting or standing helmsman.
This compass features a main steering scale on the horizontal part of the compass rose along with direct reading on the vertical edge, allowing for easy viewing from different steering positions. Double scales can be read from both the side and above, helping improve visibility and ease of use while underway.
The built-in compensator allows adjustment when the compass is affected by magnetic deviation, helping maintain more accurate readings. For low-light conditions, the integrated illumination supports easier night navigation. It also features three lubber lines for clearer readings and reduced parallax error.
