The Thermostat Kit 160 Degree fits OMC pre-Cobra 90, 120, 140, 225, and 250 marine stern drive engines from 1970 to 1985. It is design to resist the huge variations of coolant pressures that occur at high RPMs, where fluctuations in temperature and pressure can keep the thermostat from opening at its designated temperature. The thermostat features an all-brass and copper. It opens at the right temperature regardless of the engine’s RPM.
